Welcome to the Buffalo-Red River Watershed District

Located in west central Minnesota, the Buffalo-Red Watershed District (BRRWD) is one of the 10 major watersheds in the Red River Basin.  As you navigate our website, you will find valuable resources such as our monthly minutes, permit application, and information on the history of the watershed district.  This website has been carefully organized to suit your needs; the information you are searching for can be easily accessed using the menu bar located above.




The Board holds regular business meetings in its office at 123 Front Street South, Barnesville, MN, on the second and fourth Monday of each month. The Annual Meeting is held in January, and the Annual Budget Hearing is held in September. Meetings start at 7:00 PM (8:00 PM Daylight Savings Time). The office is open Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00 PM.  Meeting agendas and minutes can be found here.
