BRRWD Approves Construction Contract Extension

At their meeting held on Monday, November 26, 2018, at 7:00 PM in Barnesville, the Board of Managers, Buffalo-Red River Watershed District (BRRWD), approved a request from Sellin Brothers, Inc. to extend the construction contract deadline for the Phase 1 Wolverton Creek Restoration project from 12/31/18 until 6/30/19, pending permission from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to access the Creek during the spawning season from March 15, 2019 to June 15, 2019. If the contractor can’t access the site before 6/15/19, the Board will consider another extension date. The wet fall weather hampered progress on the restoration project.
